Best Practices

Match the browser mode and proxy option to common BrowserAct use cases.

Written by Maggie

Scenario

Recommended setup

Why

Account-based workflow or long-lived login

Standard Browser + Static Proxy

Keeps the browser profile and IP stable

Public web extraction

Private Browser + Dynamic Proxy

Provides an isolated session with rotating IP access

Region-specific data

Dynamic Proxy with the target region

Runs the Bot through the selected region

Fixed-IP allowlisting

Static Proxy

Provides a consistent IP that can be allowlisted

Existing proxy provider

Custom Proxy

Uses infrastructure and credentials you already manage

Keep Identity Consistent

For an authenticated account, avoid changing the browser profile, proxy type, or proxy region without a clear reason. Sudden identity changes may trigger additional verification from the target website.

Match the Proxy to the Task

  • Choose Static Proxy when continuity matters.

  • Choose Dynamic Proxy when rotation and regional access matter.

  • Choose Custom Proxy only when you can maintain and troubleshoot the external proxy.

Proxy settings can improve access, but they do not guarantee that every website or verification challenge can be completed.
